Here are some pictures from the "ETHIOPIA 2050: Grand Challenges and Opportunities" conference which was held from December 19 – 20, 2019 at the Skylight Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The event was jointly organised by the Ethiopian Association of Civil Engineers, Ethiopian Academy of Sciences, Ethiopian Economists Association, Unity University and other leading Ethiopian and Ethiopian Diaspora professionals.
The objective of the conference was to discuss on the “10 Most Pressing Grand Societal Challenges and Opportunities” that we face as a nation as our population reaches the 200 million mark by 2050. The Conference has aimed to explore existing and potentially emerging opportunities thereby availing expert opinions to Policy Makers in the process.
Top Ethiopians and Ethiopian Diaspora economists, scientists, engineers, medical doctors, policy makers, and social scientists were invited to participate in the conference as speakers and presenters of innovative ideas.
